Breath.........

It's been a week since the bishop called to see what my schedule was for the few weeks. Well I got the call tonight to come visit with him. I knew the calling was coming and I was even ready to do a calling like teaching (which scares me). But know lets think BIGGER. I'm very humbled that the higher powers to be have faith in me to take on this calling.......well without further adieu. I'm now the in the Relief Society Presidency as the 2ND counselor.
Trust me, it's still not totally soaked in. Please keep me in your prayers!

Our New Addition

Well it's been decided and the name of the new puppy is....Tula. She'll join us the weekend of February 19th. Puppy training here we come....

Mortensen Christmas #2

Megan, Devon and Lizzie had a fun time opening their stockings. It was great to have a second Christmas this year. We missing having the rest of the troops around during the holiday.

Badger wore a bow for the longest time before it fell off.

Devon is one of the best sons every! I now have a University of Washington sweatshirt! I don't think I look to bad in purple. I also got my Iowa State sweatshirt while in Iowa so I'm good until the kids move schools again.
These next two pictures are of a very excited Megan who found a beautiful purse in a package from Papa and Nae. She loves it!

Devon looked stunning in his new sweater from Papa and Nae.

I love my new scarf the Dick and Renae sent me! It's so soft! (Thanks Mom and Dad)
After all was done, Lizzie was passed out by the tree. Merry Chirstmas to everyone and have a Happy New Year!

Mortensen Christmas Iowa

Some people have never been away from home for Christmas and guess what, that's me! I loved being at Brent and Lara's! We had a wonderful time and hope we can do it again. Christmas is always better when you have the people you love around you.
I so enjoyed every moment with these wonderful three little ones! Grandpa and I had the best time.

We found, thanks to Brent, a 55 Studebaker that looks just like ours in Ames not three blocks from the kids. Maybe next time we can go see it closer and minus the snow.
